Mystery Radio

Mysteria has its own radio station and YOU can be a part of it. (YES! DJing is volunteering!)

Mystery Radio is an experiment in community engagement and communication in the City of Mysteria. Mystery Radio’s goal is to engage and inform the community. You can play (almost) anything you want! Got original music? Spoken word? Maybe you’ve got a kickass mixtape you’re dying to drop. This is your station and your chance to rule the airwaves.

Do you want to volunteer with Mystery Radio? Do you want to DJ?

What You’ll Need:

The best way to bring your music to Mysteria is to bring your music files or other recorded works on a USB flash drive. If you DJ live with a controller you’ll need to bring all of the equipment you’ll want. Mystery Radio has computers running the open source program Mixxx. If you’re not familiar with it, Mixxx is available for free for Windows, Mac and Linux computers. Mystery Radio runs exclusively on open source software but don’t worry, it’s a lot easier than it sounds! If you can play music on a computer you can host a show on Mystery Radio.

Don’t want to host a show, but still got something to share with the community?

Then you’ll want to fill out the 2016 Transformus Radio Promo Request Form . You can share an announcement for your event, art, camp, etc. or ask that the Mystery Radio volunteer staff produce one for you (no promises!). Request a radio promotion by CLICKING HERE

Keep your eyes on this space and look for more information in upcoming issues of Mysterian Musings, the Transformus newsletter.
